"In many ways my artwork today is still my attempt to find a balance between painting and graphic processes"
- Andrew Weir
Andrew Weir enjoys creating an interplay between recognisable and abstract forms, the familiar and the foreign. In collages of paint layers, motifs, found objects, and text, Weir expresses his fascination for the conflicting and transient ideas that compose our systems of communication. The artist's paintings fuse traditional and contemporary method and approach in an impactful, graphic whole.
